This episode covers the finish of my Kerala bike ride in Kozhikode/Calicut. KERALA RIDE was the PHASE 02 of CHAPTER 01 of my mammoth INDIA RIDE in which starting from southernmost point of India, Kanyakumari I rode through beaches and mountains of KERALA. PHASE 02 lasted for 10 Days in which I rode for around 850 KMS. Following are the details of all PHASES I did in CHAPTER 01 of my SOLO INDIA RIDE: PHASE 01- Rode from Gwalior city (my hometown) in central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh to Kanyakumari, the southern tip of India crossing cities of central and south India PHASE 02- Rode along the South-West coast line of India from Kanyakumari in Tamilnadu state to state of Kerala covering beaches of Varkala, Kollam and Alleypey. Then I entered mountains of Kerala to explore Vagamon, Bison Valley, Munnar and Vattavada after which again to coastal cities and beaches of Kochi and finally Kohzikode/Calicut PHASE 03- Rode along the South-West coastal line of India from Kohzikode/Calicut in state of Kerala to the beaches of Udupi, Murudeshwar and Gokarna in Karnataka state followed by state of Goa and then finally headed to biggest western city of India, Mumbai via Pune in Maharashtra. PHASE 04- In this final phase of Chapter 01 I rode from western coastal city of Mumbai to my hometown Gwalior via Nashik in Maharashtra and Indore & Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh I did this ride SOLO on my BS3 Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 fondly called SHADOW. . India is one of the oldest civilisations in the world with a kaleidoscopic variety and rich cultural heritage. As the 7th largest country in the world, India stands apart from the rest of Asia, marked off as it is by mountains and the sea, which give the country a distinct geographical entity. Bounded by the Great Himalayas in the north, it stretches southwards and at the Tropic of Cancer, tapers off into the Indian Ocean between the Bay of Bengal on the east and the Arabian Sea on the west. This episode covers the journey on DAY 09 of my Kerala ride in which I rode from Kochi/Ernakulam to Kozhikode/Calicut in via the coastal route in Kerala.
